The city of Rio de Janeiro is hosting the Lumisphere Experience, an immersive experience that invites visitors to reflect on the planet's climate challenges and create an ideal future. The space consists of three domes installed in Praça Mauá, right in front of the Museum of Tomorrow .

The experience was conceived by Visions2030, an organization that aims to encourage people to "envision and build more equitable, sustainable, and innovative futures ." This is the beginning of a global tour that will visit several countries within the next five years. However, before moving on to the next country, one more Brazilian state, yet to be announced, is scheduled to host the interactive journey.

The Lumisphere Experience is available for free in Rio de Janeiro until December 19th.

With COP30 in Belém on the agenda, Brazil is considered ideal to start the Lumisphere Experience tour. “Now that the eyes of the world are here, and we are trying to understand how to preserve what we have, I think Brazil’s position, globally, at this moment, is very, very important ,” says Elizabeth Thompson, Executive Director of Visions2030.

“In our opinion, Brazil’s importance for the future will be even greater in five years. So, if you had to choose a country where you would like to start such an important effort, to me it’s obvious. You want to be in Brazil. In five years you want to look back and say, we did this, we reached hundreds of millions of lives and we did something to help with the climate issue in the world,” declares Christopher Hayes, Senior Director of Visions2030.
